Dr. Basheer I Mohammed, who was appointed as the acting Managing Director (CEO) in January 2005, is a 1974 Biochemistry graduate of the famous University of Toronto, Canada and a 1978 Dental graduate of Howard University, Washington D.C. He also holds a 1981 post graduate certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the latter institution. Dr. Mohammed attended several professional and management courses both in Nigeria and abroad. In September 2002, he obtained an international Diploma in Safety Management (IDIPSM) from the British Safety Council and the same year became a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (MIIRSM). From August 1981 to November 2003, Dr. Mohammed worked in the Medical Services Division of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He retired with the rank of General Manager. During the course of his employment with the Corporation, he served at various times as a consultant Oral Surgeon to the State House Clinic Lagos, Military Hospital Yaba, Police Hospital Lagos, State House Annex Clinic etc. |
